Despite 2020 being a weird year so far, Motordiction is proud to announce that we will be launching a Formula 1 team for the 2021 season.

You read that right, we will be entering the premiere motorsport series with our MD-01 car which has been designed entirely in-house by a team of engineers who we have head hunted as we believe they are the best in the industry.

The MD-01 has been built to the 2021 spec which means it’ll have a Mercedes-sourced high-revving 1.6-litre hybrid V6 producing in excess of 900bhp which means the MD-01 will be fast no matter if it’s on the straights, taking a corner or doing a joker lap through the pit lane.

Our livery will also stand out from the crowd as we’ve drawn inspiration from the iconic Brawn GP livery of 2009, meaning the cars will be all white with elements of black and bright blue. The black will come from exposed carbon fibre in order to look cool and save as much weight as possible.

Formula 1 is an expensive motorsport to enter as a first timer for sure, but thankfully we have secured funding from a South Korean investment bank called Mertiz Investment who we will be working closely with to ensure we can survive our first season.

Driver wise, we have some quality drivers to race for us. The first is James Broadbent who has been racing in Formula Renault for the past two years and somehow, we got Jackie Stewart out of retirement to let other teams and F1 fans that we’re serious about 2021.

More information will come when we start testing the MD-01 at Brands Hatch in the Summer of 2020 but keep up to date with the latest information by following our Twitter and Instagram pages.

Other than that, Happy April Fool’s Day!
